Superbs are used as company cars mainly in mid-europe. I have yet to seen superb as a company car here in scandinavia. I bought mine superb for ca. 1400 EUR when it had 249k km on the clock (1.9 TDI 131HP). Timing belt had to be replaced soon as it hasn't been changed for 6 years but it was not that difficult nor costly. The handsome Skoda Superb is a revelation if you’re looking for a large family car with a premium feel and an affordable price tag. We rate it so highly we awarded the Superb our Family Car of It’s an inherent DSG trait. • Sheer size means the car isn’t really city-friendly. Good luck in tight lanes & parking spots. • 156 mm of ground clearance, coupled with a long wheelbase and soft suspension. • Skoda’s sorry attempt at a (fake) panoramic sunroof & the excessive chrome treatment on the L&K. As with the Skoda Superb hatchback, the Superb estate’s cabin is roomier than most other cars of its size. It’s truly vast with limo-like space in the rear seats, and since the facelift, the front of the cabin feels suitably upmarket too. Model: Superb 280. Year: 2016. Posted 17 November, 2021. 280 is a chain engine so no timing belt to worry about. 50k miles is alright although I'd want to see if the gearbox and haldex has been serviced in addition to min 2x oil and filter service. If not done, it would be due a brake fluid change too.
Skoda Superb Driving Experience. Skoda has managed to tick the vast majority of the boxes with the Superb. Steering, handling and ride are all good. With this 4×4 powertrain, grip is much better than the typical front-wheel drive Skoda chassis, resulting in a car that feels extremely sure-footed when driving progressively on wet roads.
Refinement is outstanding. As a result, it's a great car for long distances - or even better, to be driven in. On the road, though the Superb certainly feels big, we've found that it shrinks around you. The controls are light and accurate, the steering's well weighted and precise and the whole car really feels solid.
