Neither the Audi Q7 TDI nor the Mercedes-Benz GL320 Bluetec have a urea gauge to fret over. The driver must rely on several dashboard warnings that light up when the urea runs low. Surprise!

I've not heard any such issues with the fluid in the UK - making Adblue/DEF to the standard specification isn't rocket science and it's used in large quantities by diesel trucks in Europe. Posted February 13, 2023. The sensors are notorious for failing. The adblue systems have been added by most manufacturers now to reduce the nitrates from the exhaust, not necessarily because of the emissions scandal. Adblue systems have been fitted to lorries for at least 10 years or more.
Now I ve sent the car to the service to get the check engine light reading and they say I have SCR (I think) pressure pump low. They tell me that the pump and tank adblue and even a new control unit is needed and they cost over 1500€ ! I ve picked the car back up and topped off the adblue. My Q5 just turned over 35k miles, so I went to perform the service this past weekend. Though it wasn't indicating that it needed DEF, I've had the car for 5k miles and haven't added any yet, so I figured I should top it off. Select Start. Note: Operating instructions will show hold brake and accelerator pedal, test may take 30 minutes or more. Once test is completed, system ok will be displayed. The AdBlue light and “Message miles to no start” will be reset.

Adblue can easily crystallise, if you spilt any on your drive you see it turns white quite quickly. Other thing is it could be a bit of frost stopping the float from going up. It should have given you the 1000 or 1500 miles warning before the 650. Unfortunately it didn’t let you start if it thinks it zero.

Check oil level without opening the hood.This can b Pull the old filter, suction the Diesel in the filter housing out, place the new filter in, fill the housing with Diesel Purge and button it up. Pour the rest of the Diesel Purge and suctioned Diesel in the tank. Done. I run LM SuperDiesel at least at every oil change; more often when I remember.
As I have 3.0 TDI (200kW/600Nm) Euro6 diesel engine in my Q7, I have to fill periodically AdBlue as well. Please advise, how much km/miles you can drive with one tank of AdBlue?
